Extremism and Destruction

"Political extremism involves two prime ingredients: an excessively simple diagnosis of the world's ills, and a conviction that there are identifiable villains back of it all."

Attack on Democracy

It is an attack on our freedoms, and the scars may never heal

The reason why these measures are needed is because the terrorists are not soldiers, we cannot distinguish them from a normal person because they look, walk and talk just like your friends, they hide and conceal themselves as innocent civilians until the last moment, just like the 11th century Islamic fundamentalists, Assassin founded by a man named Hasan Iba Sabbah.

Ignorance is Bliss

There are disturbing reports from South Korea, reports that make you think twice about the Roh Administration

How can the Kim and Roh Administrations knowingly silence North Korean defectors and bloggers without compromising on their principles?  Revoking the rights of free media must have given the 386 generation the same shivers they got when South Korea was ruled by military dictators.

Six Men, Baggage and a Glass House

During the 6-way talks over the N.K. nuclear issue, the U.S. and Japan may need to bite the bullet

After a 13-month hiatus, the six-party talks are finally under way and many are hoping that this will resolve the nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula. The odds are stacked up against a peaceful resolution because of the past history of the six countries.

Saving the World with Nuclear Weapons

To ensure that no new nuclear weapons are created, the scientific community would be prohibited from conducting nuclear programmes and every single world leader must enforce this, like Saddam Hussein, Kim Jung Il and the Taliban.
